Boston Ground Water Research

Location: Boston, MA

Year: Spring, 2016

Working with Michelle Laboy at Northeastern University, Moshe Porter was responsible for constructing a Groundwater Topography map with Data from Wells placed around Boston by the Boston Ground Water Trust .Groundwater levels in Boston are monitored to keep the level high enough to keep piles under old constructed buildings from rotting. Groundwater levels are also monitored to hold the microclimate of the City of Boston under control.He used Rhino3D, Grasshopper, and Adobe Illustrator to design the graphics. He used Adobe Animate CC and ActionScript 3 to Code the interactive software below.
